In 2012, we obtained a Co-location and Infrastructure Sharing License, followed by an Internet Service Provider License from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). Divested part of our Tower Assets to IHS in a multi-million-dollar investment Started the process of setting up a tier 3 data center
2017
Signed partnership for the deployment of IBS/DAS solutions with Kathrein Africa Groundbreaking of RCCG’s new 3x3km auditorium for the installation of IBS/DAS solutions
2018-2020
Signed call-out contracts with Airtel and Etisalat Deployment of additional USPF BTS sites.
Partnership with Huawei and MTN for the deployment of rural telephony (Rural star).
Partnership with REA for rural deployment of alternative energy Signed MOU with ECREE to enable partnership in building 33MW of renewable energy systems in rural communities, across the West African solar corridor, which includes 19 member states Deployment of DAS for MTN and Airtel Signed Rural Telephony Agreement with MTN to roll out almost 2,000 sites
2021-2022
Hotspot Network has deployed 32 active MTNN rural sites with 50 additional towers ready for activation, partnered with 9Mobile to connect 750 villages, secured NITDA collaborations for smart agriculture/education projects, obtained U.S. funding support, expanded to Liberia, and signed master lease agreements with MTNN and Airtel Nigeria.
