PLATEAU STATE INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY DIRECTOR GENERAL VISITS HOTSPOT OFFICE, ABUJA.
The DG Plateau State Information & Communication Technology Agency, David Daser paid a working visit to Hotspot Network Limited. His visit was centered on achieving rural digital access as well as increase of fibre infrastructure in Plateau State. According to him, this visit was directed by the Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong in his quest for digital inclusion of rural areas in the state particularly for improved agriculture and education using technology.
On his arrival, he was greeted by Hotspot Founder and CEO, Engr. Morenikeji Aniye (FNSE) and his team. The meeting lasted a couple of hours with key focus on rural telephony program to facilitate phone network infrastructure in 150 underserved or rural communities before the end of the first quarter of 2022, establishment of Rural Digital Centers and fibre optic connectivity across the state. He was assured by Hotspot CEO that Hotspot has the capacity to deliver on the key concerns of the Plateau State Government and is willing to partner with the Government to achieve these.
After the meeting, he was conducted round the office complex and to the Network Observation Center (NOC) where he was briefed on the various network monitoring activities overseen at the NOC.
