HOTSPOT CEO MEETS THE UNITED STATES SECRETARY OF STATE, ANTONY J. BLINKEN.
Hotspot Network Limited was one of the few technologically innovative companies that attended the American Business Council Nigeria organized event in Abuja. During the event, the various companies showcased their innovations to the US Secretary of State, Antony J. Blinken, the US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Beth Leonard and other US government officials. Thereafter each of the CEO’s of the companies had a few moments with Mr. Blinken discussing some of the challenges limiting their rapid roll out of their innovative solutions and services.
Engr. Morenikeji Aniye, CEO Hotspot Network Limited while speaking with the US Secretary after an elaborate presentation of Hotspots’ sustainable rural communities project which encompasses rural telephony, rural digital centers and integrated rural energy. Engr. Aniye told the Secretary that Hotspot has already identified over 2000 rural communities they will deploy voice, data and broadband connectivity in Nigeria immediately the USTDA sponsored feasibility study is completed. Engr. Aniye thanked the US Secretary for this rare opportunity and for the assistance the US government is extending to Nigerian tech entrepreneurs particularly Hotspot. Mr. Antony Blinken reiterated the resolve of the US government to continue to promote bilateral relations with Nigeria and other African countries that show interest in technology driven innovations.
Engr. Aniye was immediately crowded by media personnel and he entertained many questions bothering on Hotspot Network Limited’s sustainable rural communities project.
