HOTSPOT CEO SPEAKS AT THE USTDA ACCESS AFRICA WORKSHOP

USTDA Access Africa is an initiative that supports the rapid advancement of quality information and communication technology infrastructure across Africa. Access Africa brings together critical stakeholders in Africa to identify opportunities to advance information and communications technology (ICT) projects on the continent. This workshop presents partnership opportunities to African ICT public and private projects with U.S. companies to support the rapid growth of the sector and provide the associated equipment, software, and services that are critical to expanding secure, reliable, and affordable internet access.

Engr. Morenikeji Aniye (FNSE) Founder/CEO Hotspot Network Limited was a keynote speaker during the workshop. He spoke on the advantages of using an open RAN technology in the gradual deployment of the 5G mobile network technology across Africa. He emphasized during his presentation, that expansion of internet and mobile networks to rural areas holds the key to rapid development of Africa.
