USTDA VISIT TO HOTSPOT NETWORK LIMITED ABUJA OFFICE
The Country Representative of United States Trade and Development Agency, Mr. Joshua Egba paid a fact finding visit to Hotspot Offices in Abuja today 12th August 2021.
He was warmly welcomed by the Founder/CEO of Hotspot, Engr. Morenikeji Aniye (FNSE) and some members of his team. During his visit, discussions on technology and power solutions for the rural telephony project, funding and capacity amongst other concerns were discussed. He was taken to various departments and to the Network Observation Center (NOC) where the CEO, Morenikeji and the CTO, Mr. Kefas Obuezue gave a detailed explanation of Hotspot network planning methodology, project management and delivery techniques and network monitoring and management system to Mr. Egba.
Recall that earlier this year, the USTDA approved a $1million grant for rural telephony project feasibility study in Nigeria in favour of Hotspot Network Limited. This visit is a follow up to preparations leading to the feasibility study and actual rollout of the proposed 2000 mobile network sites in rural areas in Nigeria.
Other members of Hotspot Network that were present during this event are; the Operations Manager, Mr. Hassan Monday, the Director of Projects, Mr. Bosun Abiola, the Chief Enterprise Officer, Alhaji Mahmoud Cigari and the Head of Human Resource and Administration, Mr. Dominic Ogu.
